What is concrete?

A concrete slab can be used as a structural element for buildings. A concrete slab is the thick, flat, and horizontal concrete layer that can be used as a floor, or as a roof. Concrete slabs are used to construct the foundation of houses in a variety of ways, whether on the soil or as a foundation.

Our Concrete Slab Installation Process

Concrete installations can be tricky if you're not equipped with the knowledge and skills for them. Port St. Lucie Concrete Contractors adheres to the strict process of installing concrete slabs.

In all our concrete projects security is our first priority. Before we begin any project, we ensure that we have safety equipment. Eye protection is a must, as are long sleeves, long pants rubber boots, and gloves. All of them protect us from concrete splashes.

Following the same process as before, we will follow the following steps:

Step 1: Onsite preparation

We use the same process regardless of whether we are working on a small slab or big project. We for all projects, prepare the site. Before we begin we take care to clear all debris and clean up the area. As part the preparation process the materials should be present on site. We schedule the delivery of the materials prior to the actual work. This lets us begin and complete the work in a timely manner.

Step 2: Build Concrete Forms and Reinforce Concrete Slabs using Stahl

When the area is clean and ready, we proceed with the installation of concrete forms with wire mesh. Concrete forms are solid barriers that hold the concrete mix in place. It forces concrete mix to adopt a particular shape or shape. Rebar is used for strengthening concrete to support larger structures. This ensures the concrete surface is more durable.

Step 3: Mixing Concrete Mix

Concrete trucks are used to simplify the process. Concrete materials can be mixed more effectively by using a concrete truck. Sometimes, we do manual mixing. However, in the majority of our projects, a concrete mixer is required.

Step 4: Pouring Concrete

Once done mixing concrete, we immediately place a concrete slab on the forms. It is important to be careful as we pour the concrete mix in order to ensure that we do not create too many air pockets. Air pockets are caused by too little mortar in the gaps surrounding the aggregate. Concrete is made by spreading the mix uniformly across the shape.
